WorldWide Telescope: Creating Tours
- Dan Fay, Microsoft; Lori Stone, Microsoft
- Faculty Summit 2010
The WorldWide Telescope is more than a virtual telescope of the night sky; it is a learning tool that allows users to interact with it in creative ways. Educators can create lesson plans within the WorldWide Telescope and have their students use the application to research and explore the universe and create their own presentations. Through its unique interface, anyone can create their unique exploration of different objects in the night sky, add narration, music, graphics, and other elements, and then share their story with others.
