Dr. Weiqing Liu is Principal Research Manager in the Machine Learning group at MSRA, leading a team focused on AI for Finance. His group has contributed to industry partnerships, open-source projects like Qlib (opens in new tab), and published in top conferences. His current research interests include R&D-Agent (opens in new tab) for expert-level automating R&D process and MarS (opens in new tab), a comprehensive financial market simulation framework based on the Large Market Model, a foundation model trained on financial markets data from scratch. Dr. Liu holds B.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from USTC (2011, 2016) and joined MSRA after graduation.
