Position Title: Research Intern for LLM Reasoning
Job Type: Full-time Intern

Group Introduction:

The ​​team of RL Foundation for LLMs​​ at ​​Microsoft Research Asia​​ is dedicated to ​​redefining the boundaries of reasoning capabilities in large language models (LLMs)​​ through ​​groundbreaking research​​ and ​​engineering innovation​​. Our work focuses on three key areas:

  • ​​Frontier Research​​: Investigating the ​​fundamental mechanisms​​ of LLM reasoning and advancing ​​algorithmic breakthroughs​​
  • ​​Systems Engineering​​: Developing ​​high-performance training strategies​​ and ​​efficient systems​​
  • ​​Evaluation Framework​​: Establishing ​​reliable evaluation methodologies ​​, defining ​​new metrics, scenarios, and environments​​ for reasoning tasks

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Participate in the research and development of algorithms to drive technological innovation.
  2. Design and implement models to solve real-world problems and improve performance.
  3. Conduct data analysis, model optimization, and deployment to enhance application effectiveness and stability.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or other related fields.
  2. Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.
  3. Excellent programming skills or relevant project experience.
  4. Quick learning ability.
  5. Proficiency in using English as a working language.
  6. Strong communication skills and team collaboration spirit.
  7. Written consent from your academic advisor.

Internship Duration Requirements:

Must obtain permission from your academic advisor and commit to at least three months of internship.

  3. 进行数据分析、模型优化和部署，提高应用的效果和稳定性

任职要求：

  1. 计算机科学、软件工程、电子工程或其它相关专业（本科/硕士/博士）
  2. 扎实的数据结构/算法基础
  3. 具有优秀的编程能力或相关的项目经验
  4. 快速学习能力
  5. 可以熟练使用英文作为工作语言
  6. 具有良好的沟通能力和团队协作精神
  7. 能得到导师的书面同意

工作时间要求：

能获得导师许可并保证至少三个月的实习。
