Dynamics AX Reporting Error “No such host is known” when running report which is based on cubes

Some time ago we run into the issue when Dynamics report which were based on cubes sudenly stopped working. Ie. CFOProfabilityAnalysis.RoleCenter report was raising following error

“An error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)

      Query execution failed for dataset “Company” (rsErrorExecutingCommand)

         A connection cannot be made.Ensure that the service is running.

              No such host is known”

The problem was that the Data Source which is used by Dynamics SSRS reporting had the connection string which was not correct.

After navigating Report Manager and changing the connection string for DataSource DynamicsAXOLAP to correct on the issue has disappeared.

What probably happened was that during deployment of reports the OLAP database was located on different server, later on the OLAP database was moved to different location and Dynamics SSRS stopped to work
