L&T’s AI strategy includes a customized Poly-LLM framework and a composite AI approach, supported by Azure OpenAI for secure, scalable infrastructure.
AI applications have shown tangible results, such as contract drafting, vendor price discovery, and optimizing machinery and workforce planning, reducing planning time from two weeks to ten minutes. They also improve project cost estimation and real-time tracking, leading to efficient resource allocation and productivity enhancement.
L&T plans to deploy over 100 AI-driven use cases in the coming years, targeting significant cost savings, productivity gains, and strategic decision-making improvements, with projected construction cost savings of 2-3% and enhanced operational productivity
