At the forefront of adoption

Infosys is one of the early adopters of GitHub and uses it not just as a code repository but also as a code store with thousands of assets that can be reused. So checking out GitHub Copilot was a natural progression. Infosys started with an initial pilot and soon rolled it to many of its employees.

What’s been the experience of Infosys with GitHub Copilot? Read on to find out.

Code accepted!

GitHub Copilot is being used by thousands of Infosys employees across the spectrum—those fresh out of college, those with a few years of experience and those with 5+ years of experience. In this process, million plus lines of code has got accepted by GitHub Copilot.

Improved quality

Developers love the ease of interactions; they get what they are looking for, and the acceptance rates have been growing constantly. Infosys also found that there was significant acceleration in the time to develop a feature or fix a bug. Also, the quality of code was far better. And there wasn’t anything that was non-compliant from a security perspective.
